a little more Christmas...

Hello!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  I had a pretty good one.  I got started on my Christmas shopping, and I got quite a few things on my list.  Hopefully the rest of my shopping will go just as easy.

I thought I would stop by today to share a couple more projects that I made for Ally Scraps.  I did a little gift wrap and tag set using Echo Park and some Maya Road products.

If you are interested, you can find instructions on how to make these projects, a supply list, and a few more detailed photos here.  Don't forget to look around while you are there, because there is so much more to see at the Ally Scraps blog.  Be sure to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!  :)

christmas is in the air...

Hey everyone!  I have some new cards to share with you today.  Ally Scraps asked me back to guest design for the month of November (aren't they sweet?!  :) ), and this month they are focusing on Christmas.  So over the next few weeks, I will be sharing my Christmas themed projects.

I chose to work with Echo Park's Everybody Love Christmas, and I am having a blast playing with all of the bright, whimsical papers and cardstock stickers in this collection.

For my first project this month, I did a card set:

The colors, patterns, and elements in this collection are right up my alley.  I just love them!  :)

You can see a detailed list of instructions on how to make these cards here.  And don't forget to check out the Ally Scraps blog all month long for lots of Christmas inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  See you again soon!

Color Combos Galore #166

Hey everyone! Thought I would stop by and share the card I made for this week's color combo (#166) and design challenge over at Color Combos Galore. It was just posted last night. Here are the colors and challenge:

And here is my take on it:

I couldn't help but add some browns, like the rug in the photo. You know me... the more color, the better. ;)

Hope you all get to play along this week. If you do, make sure to come by and post your creation in the CCG gallery. We would love to see it!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!

CupCards to Go challenge

To those of you who got the fun-filled November 'Ribbon Candy' kit from CupCards to Go, I have challenge.

One of the first things that really caught my attention when I first opened my kit was the beautiful butterfly sticker sheet by Jenni Bowlin. But then I started thinking, butterflies + Christmas... huh????? I just wasn't get the connection. So it was time to put my thinking cap on, and what I came up with was a butterfly Christmas tree card.

Since the butterflies were red, I decided to put the butterflies against a green background so they would really pop off the page. I hand-stitched the butterflies into a triangle shape for the tree and added a base with some brown patterned paper. Then, I added one of the flower embellishments from the kit for a topper, some ribbon for decoration, and some rub-ons to frame it up a bit.

So here is my challenge to you: Find a creative way to showcase those butterflies on a Christmas card/project. Not just one or two, but 5 or more butterflies. You have until November 20th to get your project posted in the comment section of this post. A winner will be randomly selected to receive a mini kit from CupCards to Go.

So start creating. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Thursday Trends - Pink Paislee

Today was my day to post on the Pink Paislee blog for Thursday Trends. I chose sparkle and shine. You know... using all of those fun products that make our pages, cards, and projects sparkle, shimmer, glitter, etc. I made a couple of cards to show off some of the beautiful, shiny products that Pink Paislee manufactures. For these cards, I used items from the Parisian Anthology, Artisan Elements, Sweetness, and Expressions Alphabet collections.

Cupcards to Go November 'Ribbon Candy' Kit

Hey all! The November 'Ribbon Candy' kit from Cupcards to Go went live on Monday, so I came by to share a few of the cards I made with it.

The first is the 'celebrate' card I made using these fun holiday rub-ons. I just added them to some white cardstock and made my own patterned paper. The embellishments in this kit are so fun too. Just look at those gorgeous stick pins!

Next up is a little gingerbread house card. I have been having lots of fun making house shaped cards lately, and it seemed like a perfect shape for Christmas.

Next up is a classic red and green Christmas card. I just love the flower embellishment and beautiful striped ribbon.

I just love snowmen, so I had to sneak one in on the chipboard tag included in the kit. And I just love this polka dot paper. You can never go wrong with polka dots!

Next up is a card I made using a sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches. Cupcards to Go is their sponsor this month. You know I am a big fan of sketches, and they have lots of card and layout sketches to choose from. Make sure to head on over and check out them out. :)

And now a little card using one of the stamps that came with the kit. There are two image stamps and two sentiment stamps included in this kit. A fun little bonus for all you stampers (and non-stampers) out there.

This kit is just filled with so many beautiful papers and embellishments. It is a definitely must-have! Be sure to check here for kit information.

Oh... and don't forget to check out the designer gallery to see what the design team came up with. Very inspiring!!!

I will be back on the 5th to post a challenge and later in the month to share a tutorial. Make sure to stop back by. Hugs!
