A House of Cards

Halloween is almost here...

so I thought I would share a layout that I did for Pink Paislee using the new Hocus Pocus collection and some Artisan Elements. This is such a fun line. You really can't go wrong with Halloween colors. I just LOVE it!!!

I did this layout about my daughter, who dressed up as a hobo last Halloween. I had a lot of fun decorating the Artisan Elements frames as jack-o'-lanterns for the Os in my title.

For this, I inked the frames, let them dry, added buttons for the eyes and hand cut a mouth for each out of cardstock. I then used a craft knife to cut a slit at the top of the frame and ran some hemp cord through the hole to make the stalk.

I also make a little spider using the Artisan Elements Swirls for the legs and buttons for the body.

Make sure to check out the Pink Paislee blog to see what the rest of the design team has been up to this month using the Hocus Pocus collection. There are some really awesome Halloween and non-Halloween themed projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs!!!

More Ally Scraps projects

Hey everyone! :) How was your weekend? I had a busy, but fun one. David, the kids, and I spent most of the weekend in downtown Mobile at BayFest, a 3 day music festival. We saw lots of bands: Shinedown, Papa Roach, Godsmack, Skillet, Sick Puppies, 5 Finger Death Punch, and Rehab. They were all awesome! There were so many more acts there that we weren't able to catch, but we were very happy with our choices. We all had a great time!

I wanted to come by today to share my last September Guest Designer project for Ally Scraps. I've really had so much fun working with the products from this store. (Thanks so much, Cathy and Dana, for having me!!!) I did a little birdhouse card set using lots of October Afternoon and Maya road products. I was very happy with the way they turned out. :)

You can find step-by-step instructions for both cards and a list of products used at the Ally Scraps blog here.

Hope you all have a great rest of the week. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
